Rev Hilary Morgan

We were all very sorry to hear that Hilary will be moving to continue her curacy in the Parish of St Peter with St Owen and St James in Hereford at the beginning of the new year. We wish Hilary all the best as she ministers in a new place. We will be sorry to see Hilary and Bernard leave us as they have given much to the life of the Team and Hilary we thank you most sincerely for your ministry amongst us, we will miss you. We hope you both will be very happy in your new home.

Wendy Richards

We were very saddened to hear of the sudden death of Wendy on October 26th. We send our deepest sympathy to Robert and Thomas, you are both very much in our thoughts at this difficult time.

Joseph and Maisie Wall

At the beginning of our October Communion Service Joseph and Maisie presented the sum of £26.74 to St Mary's being our share of the money raised by their initiative in making and selling cakes in and around the village on Sunday 16th October in aid of Acorns Children's Hospice, Worcester, and St Mary's Church. What a wonderful gesture and greatly appreciated and what delicious cakes they were! Thank you Joseph, Maisie and Cousin Jack Edwards for helping with the delivery!

Christmas Hampers

You may remember reading in the October Magazine that it is hoped that each parish in the Team will sponsor a Christmas Hamper. The hampers will then be distributed to families in our parishes. These families are nominated by doctors, police and social services in our community and are families where Christmas will be a time of hardship. If you would like to contribute Michael Holmes has a ‘wish list’ and would be pleased to furnish you with a list of suitable items. The hampers need to be ready by Saturday 17th December. Thank You.

PCC Meeting

Our October PCC meeting held at the home of Stewart and Sally McGuinness was very well attended and Rev Claire Lording presided. The main items that were discussed/agreed were as follows:

Church Roof –  Mr Easteal informed the meeting that English Heritage had turned down our application for grant aid to help towards the restoration of the church roof. Our Architects are proceeding to draw up plans for the restoration to go ahead. Our new Architectural Advisor is Jane Chamberlain. (Mr Peter Taylor has retired)
