Church Lunch

On Sunday 21st January, following morning service, a number of the congregation met at The Fountain Inn for the annual church lunch. This, considering the weather that we had been enduring, was very well attended. Unfortunately, due to illness and family commitments, we were a few friends missing. Nevertheless 20 of us sat down to a very nice three-course lunch served efficiently by friendly staff and although the venue was busy each course was served at a leisurely pace with no pressure to rush the meal.

All who attended seemed to enjoy themselves, there was plenty of conversation and laughter. We must thank Michael Holmes for the time and effort that he put into arranging this memorable occasion. Once again he has come up trumps — Sue Britten

Annual PCC

The annual PCC meeting will be held in church at 7.30pm on Monday 11th March 2013. This is a meeting open to everyone on the Church Electoral Roll - come along and have your say as the church is such an important part of the community

Mothering Sunday

This year it will be a joint service with our neighbours from Greete and will be held at St Mary's Whitton on Sunday 10th March at 11.30am and will be led by Kath Bills. (Please note no Evensong this month.) Celebrate Mothering Sunday with all the families and enjoy simnel cake, blessing and presentation of posies after the service. Offers of help with making the posies would be appreciated.

Daffodil Daze

As I write (4.2.13) the daffodils are making steady progress, but unfortunately it is still difficult to predict the dates for Daffodil Daze at this stage. Please keep an eye out for the advertising boards. Offers of cakes, books, help with the tea and stewardship rota will be appreciated.
