We send our congratulations and best wishes to Georgia and Nicky on the safe arrival of Harry, born on 3rd June at Telford Princess Royal Hospital weighing in at 6 lbs 1 oz, a brother for Joshua and a second grandchild for John and Dawn Hoskins.

PCC Meeting

The July PCC meeting has been re-scheduled for Tuesday 4th August at 7.30pm at The Cottage, Whitton, by kind invitation of Chris and Ann Kemp.

Friends of Whitton

Don't forget, weather permitting, the village picnic will take place on Sunday 9th August from 2pm-5pm at The Pool, Whitton (near to Richard and Sarah's house - it will be signposted). Remember to bring food, drink and something to sit on!

June Evensong

On Sunday 14th June our evensong service was held in the delightful garden of The White House, Hope Bagot, by kind invitation of Betty and Bill. The weather was kind to us although a little breezy. The service was led by Kevin Bryant who conducted a lovely service and a big thanks to Marina Clent who accompanied the singing on the keyboard, as she has done annually for this service.

The evening ended with a buffet, supplied by Betty and Bill and other members of the congregation. Kevin joined us for refreshments and got to know the parishioners.

Thanks to Betty and Bill for hosting our summer Evensong, to Kevin for taking the service and all those who provided refreshments. It was a lovely occasion.

Preaching Cross Service

Despite rain threatening and a chill breeze we continued undaunted with our open air service which was led by Rev Sue Foster with a good congregation which included two visitors to the area. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed a most delicious lunch after the service and a very big THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to the food and helped setting up and clearing away.
