Parish Magazine for April 2016
There is a good selection of books for sale in the church tower at the bargain price of 20p per paperback and 40p for hardbacks. Come along and bring/buy and when you have enjoyed maybe bring them back to recycle for others to enjoy as well! Now the weather is improving come along and take a look at our beautiful churchyard with its wild flowers and marvel at the Burne-Jones/William Morris east windows and at the same time purchase a few books.
The Lent programme for Passionate for the Psalms has received a mixed response at Whitton (food for thought!).
The joint Greete and Whitton Mothering Sunday service was well attended and beautifully led by Kath Bills who provided not only food for thought but a delicious simnel cake at the end. The intercessions were led by Mary-Jane and Sam Shakespeare. During the service the children distributed posies to the congregation and Sam and Katie, assisted by Mark, took the collection. Many thanks to Ginny for the music and to all who kindly made the posies.
